It just doesn’t snow here in Southern KY like it did when I was a child growing up!

The kids will actually be out of school for ‘snow’ every now and then, but if I can leave my house without having to be concerned about road conditions … this is not a REAL snow!

I have been terribly disappointed that my children ages 11 and 6 had never had the opportunity to see a snow that  completely covers the ground!

When we woke up last Saturday morning, all of this had changed!!!

Shannon woke up first and he could not wait until the kids got up so they could go outside to play!  =]

My parents bought the kids LL Bean Toboggans the winter Emma was born  and this was the first time we have gotten to use them the way they were intended!

It didn’t take us long to transform our front yard/field into a winter wonderland!  My sister and her husband joined us the first day and we had a blast!

On Sunday, our crowd grew even more after Church!  It seemed word got out to BYOS!  Bring Your Own Sled!!

The more the merrier!

Shannon and I enjoyed hosting this Winter Party and hope we get to do it again very soon!
