Hard to imagine it is the beginning of December and I am sitting in my office (with my coat on) freezing, but yet I am just getting around to blog an August wedding!
Seriously?
After an amazing wedding season that kept me shooting weekend after weekend through the fall, I fell behind with my blogging.
But have no fear, I have a mission to share with you, my blog readers, all of the beautiful weddings that I have been blessed to be apart of over the last few months!
First up is the wedding of Michael and Jackie in Lexington, KY!
The first time I met Jackie it was snowing and bitter cold, but when her August wedding rolled around it was steamy hot even for Kentucky!
To start off the day I arrived at the home of Jackie’s parents and I was greeted like part of the family! I love when Bride’s get ready at home! They always seem so comfortable and more relaxed! I adored the shots of Jackie and her Mom finishing up on her final touches before Michael arrived!
It was easy to tell when the boys arrived! I looked out the front door and saw this scene unfold!
Michael and Jackie chose to do a First Glance, but they added a twist to reflect an old Taiwanese Tradition that forced Michael to answer trivia questions from the bridesmaids and locate the Bride’s ‘hidden’ shoes!
It didn’t take long to realize this was going to be a fun and interesting day! =]
Finally it was time to leave …..
Jackie arranged for their bridal party to go to the UK Arboretum for photos before going to the Church! Did I say how much I loved that this Bride made sure we had plenty of time to do portraits!??
Speaking of the beautiful Bride:
This was truly one of the most attentive bridal parties I have ever worked with! Each and everyone of them went out of their way to make Michael and Jackie’s day comfortable and memorable!
The guys wanted to jump and did they ever! =]
We had not been at the Arboretum long and large ominous clouds started to appear, but the spirits of these friends were not hindered!
I loved this:
Even the Ring Bearer and Flower Girl were amazingly patient and of course CUTE!
Sigh ……….
Back at the Church, everyone had time to freshen up from the hot temps and just chill out before the ceremony!
I loved this series of Jackie finishing some notes and the special moment with her Mom!
The ceremony was beautiful too …….
There is so much emotional build up to this moment one the bride and groom reach the back of the Church! Sometimes you have kisses, Sometimes tears of happiness, but Michael and Jackie … they were the High 5 kind of joyously married! Loved it!
The reception was initially planned to be outdoors at the Church, but for some reason it was moved indoors earlier in the week. It was such a blessing because when the rain started it rained and it rained!!
To Michael and Jackie ~Thank you for Sharing your beautiful wedding day with me! I wish you all the joy and happiness in your marriage that your life together will bring! ~Kellie
